How To Use Your Disklok

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Try the Disklok off the steering wheel first 

It is essential to familiarize yourself with the device and it’s operation before fitting.

2. Adjust accordingly

On the underside of the of the arm there are three notches. The correct setting depends on the size of your steering wheel. Adjust accordingly to ensure a preferred fit. 

3. Place the Disklok steering wheel cover 

If you have a leather steering wheel, fit the Disklok steering wheel cover to prevent accidental abrasion.

4. Close and Secure the Disklok

While seated with a Disklok in your lap, start by opening and unfolding the handle. Place the Disklok over the steering wheel ensuring it fully covers the wheel. Close the handle down onto the locking hole. 

5. Lock It

Slide and hold the locking pin on the handle inwards and press the chrome lock down firmly until you hear a click. Remove the key and store it safely (not in the car!).

6. Ensure it spins freely

Ensure the Disklok spins freely on the steering wheel. This spinning motion is a critical theft deterrent feature.

Removing Your Disklok

  1. Insert your key and turn it 3/4 counter-clockwise to unlock and then 3/4 anti-clockwise to remove the key.

  2. Lift the handle and open the Disklok to remove it from the steering wheel.

  3. Fold the handle inside the Disklok. 

  4. Close the Disklok and tuck the steering wheel cover inside so it is ready for future use.

  5. Store the Disklok securely (ideally in your boot/trunk).
